Operations Club event OP-ARENA was conducted during Interface’14 on 1st Feb and 2nd Feb,2014. The finalists included team from IMT Ghaziabad, Welingkar Institute Of Management and BITS,Pilani. The final round of the event was a case study presentation which was judged by Prof. Rajesh Mathai and Prof. Rajan Pandey. Team from IMT Ghaziabad bagged the first prize and team from BITS, Pilani won the second prize. The event was a great success.

Operations Club Event, MASSOC, BITS Pilani
The Operations Club, MASSOC BITS Pilani in association with the Industry Linkage Club organized an activity based learning workshop namely “OPS- Operations Management & Production Systems”.
The Chief Guest was Mr. Hemanth K Mukhija. He is a Leading Operations management expert and is a Former Associate Vice President of Havells India Ltd. He is currently one of the Plant heads in Orient Electricals.
Various events were conducted by the second year MBA students to help the first year students get introduced to the basic activities of an Operations Team. The atmosphere was built to be a very healthy and productive one.
Mr. Mukhija explained to students various basics and tactics they require to be part of an operations department in an organization. And also the points they need to be clear and precise with while working in such a team. Various topics such as the steps in operations, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke were discussed in the event. The event was a great success with Mr. Mukhija giving a message to students to be clear with their own ideas and last but not the least to conserve energy in every form around us.
